For over 9 years our friend and colleague Sarrae Crane has served as Executive Director of MERCAZ USA, following many years of dedicated Jewish communal service. There is hardly an organization Sarrae has not worked with — particularly in furthering the Zionist dream and strengthening the Conservative Movement. Our lives have been enriched by her creativity, leadership, and expertise. She leaves behind a tangible legacy and stands as an incredible dugma — a role model for us all.
As Sarrae prepares to retire from her position at MERCAZ USA on December 31, we feel both deep sadness and immense gratitude. While we will miss her daily presence, we are thrilled that she will now have the opportunity to spend more time with her wonderful husband, Rabbi Jonathan Waxman.
