 rage and determination of the Maccabees.\n\nThe words of Rabbi Abraham Jos
 hua Heschel remind us of the moment we face:\n“We are either the last\, 
 the dying\, Jews or else we are those who will give new life to our tradit
 ion. Rarely in our history has so much been dependent upon one generation.
  We will either forfeit or enrich the legacy of the ages.”\n\nEven befor
 e the tragic events of October 7\, 2023\, the Jewish people have been grap
 pling not just with survival\, but with the future of Israel and the Jewis
 h community worldwide. This is about more than perseverance — it is abou
 t shaping the future together.\n\nMERCAZ USA\, the Zionist arm of the Maso
 rti/Conservative movement\, plays a vital role in this effort. Through MER
 CAZ USA\, we are fighting to:\n\n 	Bring the Hostages home and Rebuild Isr
 ael in the aftermath of October 7\n 	Ensure a pluralistic Israel where Jew
 s of all backgrounds are welcome and can worship and live without fear or 
 exclusion in an equitable and inclusive democracy.\n 	Educate on Zionism a
 nd Address the root causes of Antisemitism\n 	Strengthen the bond between 
 American Jews and Israel\n 	Support\, resources and funding for Conservati
 ve/Masorti Movement’s values globally\n 	Support the goal of achieving p
 eace and stability in the region\n\nOur movement is the voice for inclusiv
 ity\, pluralism\, and tolerance. MERCAZ USA strives to ensure Israel is a 
 home for every Jew\, a safe haven that honors the diversity of our communi
 ty. But this mission depends on you.\n\nHannukah reminds us of the miracle
