A Passover Message from MERCAZ USA’s President

On behalf of the leadership of MERCAZ USA, we wish you and your families a Chag Kasher V’sameach.

The Hagaddah reminds us each year that it is our task to feel as if we ourselves experienced the exodus from Egypt and were taken from slavery to freedom. Sadly our world continues to be one in which it is only too easy to feel enslaved. Ultimately, our hope lies with the final words of the seder, “L’shana Haba’ah Biyrushalayim – Next Year in Jerusalem!”

In a time when so many who had planned to celebrate Passover in Israel are not able to be there, and so many within Israel who had planned to vacation are not able to, let us hope and pray that next year our redemption will be one that includes a safe and secure Israel, and a chance to be there together!

Chag Kasher V’sameach,
Rabbi Hillel Skolnik, President, MERCAZ USA
