of Haifa, General Amram Mitzna (left, center) meets with leaders of
the Conservative Movement, Tnuat AM and the Israel Aliyah Center,
prior to a meeting with Tnuat AM - MaroM/Koach members at The Jewish
Theological Seminary (right). Mayor Mitzna also spent erev Shabbat,
and Shabbat morning services with Congregations B'nai Jeshurun and
Sha'arai Tzedek on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Mayor Mitzna
was warmly welcomed at each event, and he invited everyone to visit
and to consider living in Haifa, the beautiful city on Mt. Carmel
and a spearhead of pluralism and hi-tech in Israel. If you are interested

2000. This year, six young leaders of North America's MaroM/Koach
attended the annual international Leadership Seminar in Jerusalem.
After two weeks in Israel, together with other young people from Britain,
France, Russia, and Israel, they returned to their campuses to lead
Conservtive Zionist activities. In the words of participant, Audrey
Shore, from N.Y., the "MaroM/Koach Seminar 2000 was a phenomenal
experience. Being able to network with young, fun, Masorti-minded
students was super and doing it in Jerusalem added infinitely
to the experience...Perhaps the best part of the conference was the
diverse group of representatives. Meeting friends from the former
Soviet Union was unlike any similar leadership initiative I've ever
attended, because of our ability to network and idea-build with each
other...Also, our fabulous madrichim/leaders provided the guidance
we needed and the friendship we wanted." If you are interested
in joining the 2001 Seminar, please contact the MaroM / Koach office
at 212-533-7800, ext. 2021. |
