New CD About Judaism and Environment

Masorti Olami – World Council of Conservative/Masorti Synagogues and MERCAZ Olami, the international Zionist organization of the Conservative/Masorti Movement, have produced a new CD educational kit on "Judaism and the Environment".

Premiered at the Rabbinical Assembly convention that took place in Jerusalem this past February, the CD presents useful and illuminating resources on environmental conservation and activism from a Jewish perspective, highlighting the Conservative/Masorti position and environmental challenges facing Israel today. Contributors include environmental experts, rabbis, educators and community leaders from the Masorti/ Conservative movement and the Jewish world at large.

In addition, elements of the CD were highlighted in a special program guide for Yom Ha'Atzmaut produced by MERCAZ USA and the Green Zionist Alliance, which is available online at www.greenzionism.org/programs/yom-haatzmaut.

Partners in the CD project include the Keren Kayemet Le'Yisrael, the Jewish National Fund, the World Zionist Organization and the Green Zionist Alliance.
